This presentation provides a technical introduction into the Qt Location API.
This new module was released in Qt 5.5 as a technical preview and provides Mapping, Geocoding, Routing and Place features.
A small QML application will be developed during this practical coding session. The main focus is on getting to know the various QML API elements and how they may be put together.
Laszlo Agocs, The Qt Company
Laszlo is a senior software engineer at The Qt Company in Oslo, Norway. After years of UI framework development on various Nokia mobile platforms and developing mobile GPUs at ARM, he is now working full time on Qt. His focus is on graphics, platform adaptation, windowing system integration and input device handling, in particular on devices running Embedded Linux. However, in a true cross-platform Qt spirit, he is not afraid of other platforms either. He is a major contributor to QtGui, QtQuick, and is the maintainer of the embedded-focused linuxfb and eglfs platform plugins.
