KEYNOTE: Qt Today and Tomorrow – The Building Blocks and Path to the Future
As the CTO of The Qt Company and the Chief Maintainer of the Qt Project, Lars will give insight into how Qt is built, how the organization and community behind it works, and how all the pieces fall into place. In the past year, Qt has accomplished many great things, but the main question now is; what will happen in the years to come? In his presentation, Lars will focus on where Qt is heading in the next few years and explain the vision and foundation of the Qt technology, as well as the passion that drives the development. To end, Lars will highlight the Qt R&D focus areas and Qt functionalities to be expected in upcoming releases.
Lars Knoll, The Qt Company
Lars Knoll is The Qt Company CTO and Qt Project Chief Maintainer. He has been working on Qt for more than 12 years starting as a software engineer to later leading the global Qt engineering team in Nokia before the Digia acquisition in October 2012. Lars has been an active member of the KDE community and the architect behind KDE's HTML rendering library that formed the basis for the WebKit open source project. Lars holds a PhD in physics from the University of Heidelberg. He is German national and lives with his family in Oslo.
