At QtWS16 this year, we will have a great roster of keynotes, you won’t want to miss! Following the morning kick-off by Juha Varelius, CEO of The Qt Company, Day 1 will open with Kevin Kelly, Editor of WIRED Magazine and Author of “The Inevitable”. This will be followed with fast-paced, micro-keynotes, which will inspire attendees, as industry speakers talk about all the amazing things they have Built with Qt.


Day 1 micro-keynotes will include 5 minute introductions to technical talks. Using Qt to access everywhere, with Ubuntu, MicrosoftLG for example. Tableau and BEP Marine will introduce their topics around developing with Qt for multiscreen use. Interfaces (3D/VR/AR) will be then opened by Rimac, AMD, High Fidelity and Lunasonde will introduce the use of Qt in tracking. Serving as appetizers for the Day’s sessions, attendees will get a glimpse into some of the awesome talks that are available to them.


The evening keynote will be truly unique, as Josh Clark, UX Strategist and Futurist from Big Medium will close Day 1 with a look into the future of user experiences and how the world around us is loaded with potential, as technology becomes an increasingly bigger part of our lives. Attendees will also hear from Stephen Casner, NASA Research Psychologist who will talk about how automation promises to free us from routine tasks.


That’s not all, as Day 2 will open with a keynote by Lars Knoll, Qt CTO & Qt Project Maintainer, who will speak to the Qt Roadmap from a crystal ball on topics such as things getting smaller, 3D. On stage, Lars will also invite industry leaders such as NXP and Jaguar Land Rover to the stage for an insightful look at industry perspectives and the future of Qt technology.
